Get support and share best practices for how the school year is going so far. Adviser Evva Starr will lead a discussion around topics such as:
This Zoom videoconferencing session – the second in a monthly series of Adviser Pep Talks -- is being offered at no charge.
Pre-register by sending your name, adviser role and school affiliation to email@example.com. You will receive the Zoom log-on in advance of the Adviser Pep Talk.
During the session, advisers will have an opportunity to share their suggestions and raise their concerns with each other, providing emotional support as well as concrete suggestions we can put into place in our classrooms immediately.
Additional Adviser Pep Talks sponsored by MDCSPA will take place through the fall.
Lastly, journalism teachers may want to take advantage of an excellent new curriculum developed by the Journalism Education Association, "Teaching & Advising in a Pandemic.” It's a series of self-directed lessons for journalism students, and it's available for free to any educator.
